The Journey Begins...

After having joked about adopting for the past few years, Denise and I both came to the realization within the past few weeks that the conversations we have been having were perhaps more than just light-hearted jest about bringing children into our lives. About a week ago we began to seriously discuss the possibility of adoption and we both came to the conclusion that this was something we were both deeply interested and passionate about. We both love children so much, and while we haven't ruled out having children of our own, we feel now is the time to begin sharing that love with children who need a family of their own.

And so our journey begins...

We have begun researching the process and we are signed up for the required PRIDE classes which begin this coming Saturday! Denise and I have already looked at some of the children that are currently available for adoption but we are trying to take our time knowing that many of the children available for adoption now, may not be available by the time we are approved to become adoptive parents.
